FUNCTIONS

The main function of the department is to provide diagnostic imaging services for both inside and outside patients. The list of services available is:

1. General X-Ray Exam
2. Dental X-Ray Examination (OPG / CBCT)
3. Intravenous Urography (IVU)
4. X-Ray Examination in Ward (Mobile)
5. X-Ray Examination at Surgical Hall (II)
6. Fluoroscopy examination
7. Ultrasound screening
8. Mammography Exam
9. Computed Tomography Check (CT Scan)
10. Diagnostic Imaging Consultancy Services

Application of the x-ray examination also includes other hospitals such as Tapah, Slim River, Changkat Melintang and Sabak Bernam, Selangor as well as nearby health clinics such as Teluk Intan, Sungai Sumun, Langkap, Bagan Datuk, Chenderong Balai and Kampung Gajah.

This support service covers 24 hours for emergency cases.

The department also helps in getting appointments for cases requiring further examination such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital, Ipoh.
